As you may know, Abby Jorgensen started Haven Bereavement Doulas out of a passion for empowering people to support loss families.
She did *not* start it out of a wealth of knowledge of web design.
Haven has grown immensely as we educate and companion more and more bereavement doulas, but Abby is the first to proclaim that her website skills have not grown at a commensurate rate! After all, as Abby constantly says, “I’m a bereavement doula, not a website designer.”
As Haven Bereavement Doulas expands its offerings for grief-informed education and training for aspiring bereavement professionals, we have seen the need to create a new website. A new website would enable us to provide a better user experience, enabling more folks to find our resources. We want to make our free resources and information more easily accessible. With the launch of a new, professionally-created website, we will be able to educate more folks in bereavement support and train more bereavement doulas who will be equipped to support families who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.
Here at Haven Bereavement Doulas, we are passionate about providing evidence-based and practical training to bereavement doulas. We want loss families to have access to trained, grief-informed professionals to walk alongside them and companion them in their grief. The goal for our drive is $997 for a new website. If we exceed our goal, the additional funds will be used for scholarships to reduce the cost of our Haven Bereavement Doula training for those in financial need.
